Muqeem

Also known as: مقيم · Muqeem portal

The short answer

Muqeem is an online platform linked to the General Directorate of Passports through which establishments manage their non-Saudi workers: issuing and renewing iqamas, exit re-entry and final exit visas, updating passport details and tracking residence permits close to expiry. Establishments use it on a yearly subscription.

How it works

The establishment subscribes to Muqeem and gives its staff permissions by role. The platform lists every expatriate worker with the status of their iqama; visas are issued and the related government fees paid from there, and reports can be printed.

What it means for HR

  • Muqeem is the source of truth for iqama status and expiry; reconcile your HR records with it regularly.
  • Set permissions carefully. Issuing a final exit visa is not easily undone.
  • Record every action on the employee file: the visa type, issue date and duration.

In RafiqHR

RafiqHR tracks iqamas and visas in the product and reminds you before they expire. The direct link to Muqeem is shown on the integrations page with its real status, and is not described as live until it runs in production.
