Final exit visa

Also known as: خروج نهائي · final exit · Saudi final exit

The short answer

A final exit visa is issued to a non-Saudi worker whose employment has ended and who is leaving Saudi Arabia for good; the iqama is cancelled once they leave. The employer issues it through Muqeem or Absher Business, the worker must leave within its validity, and the final settlement and end-of-service award usually come first.

Before issuing it

  1. End the relationship in Qiwa and record the reason employment ended.
  2. Calculate the final settlement: pay to the last day, unused leave, the end-of-service award and lawful deductions.
  3. Pay what is due and have the worker sign the settlement.
  4. Deregister them from GOSI so they drop off the next invoice.

What it means for HR

A final exit is not easily undone, so make it the last step, after the settlement is approved.

Work out the award with the end-of-service calculator.
