Editorial policy

Editorial policy: how we write and check our guides

The short answer

The RafiqHR team writes its guides and glossary from the official texts: the labour laws, their regulations and the authorities’ own platforms. Each guide points to the sources it relies on, each page shows when it was last checked against them, a named specialist reviews legal and payroll topics where shown, and reported mistakes are corrected within five working days.

Who writes

The guides, articles and glossary are written by the RafiqHR team, the same team that builds the payroll, leave and end-of-service rules in the product. When a named person wrote or reviewed a page, their name, role, credentials and author page appear at the top of it.

Where the facts come from

Official texts first: the Labour Law, its Implementing Regulations and ministerial decisions, the Social Insurance Law, and the authorities’ own platforms such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, GOSI, Qiwa and Mudad. For the other Gulf states we use their official legislation portals. We do not take a figure or a rate from another blog or a forum.

Each guide points to the official sources it relies on, and we give the article number when we cite a law.

How we check

Every figure, rate and period on a page is checked against the official text before it is published, and worked examples are calculated with the same tools the site publishes. Legal and payroll topics are reviewed by a specialist before publication where the reviewer is named on the page.

We use AI tools to help with drafting and translation, but no page is published until a person on the team has checked every fact in it against its source.

How we keep pages current

Every page shows when it was last checked against the official sources. Guides are re-checked at least every three months, and straight away when an amendment affects them, and the change is recorded in the “What changed” log at the end of the page.

What we don’t do

We don’t give legal advice: the guides are general information, and a decision on a specific case needs a qualified adviser. We don’t describe a RafiqHR feature as available before it works, and we accept no payment for mentioning any other organisation or product.

If you find a mistake

Email sales@rafiqhr.com with the page link, what is wrong and the source if you have one. We reply within two working days, correct a confirmed mistake within five working days and record the correction in the page’s change log.
