Saudi net salary calculator

Enter the pay components to see take-home pay after the employee’s GOSI share and deductions, and the employer’s full monthly cost.

The short answer

This net salary calculator takes gross pay and subtracts the employee’s GOSI share, 9.75% for a Saudi on the old regime and a little more on the new regime, then any other deductions. There is no income tax on salaries in Saudi Arabia, and non-Saudis pay no GOSI share. It also shows the employer’s full monthly cost.

An estimate only. There is no income tax on salaries in Saudi Arabia; the only statutory deduction here is GOSI.

GOSI in detail: the GOSI calculator

How it works and what it assumes

  • Gross = basic + housing + transport + other allowances.
  • The employee GOSI share is on basic and housing only (floor 1,500, cap 45,000 SAR): 9.75% on the old regime and 10.75% on the new regime from 1 July 2026. Non-Saudis pay no share.
  • Employer cost = gross + the employer GOSI share (11.75% old regime, 12.75% new regime from July 2026, 2% for non-Saudis).
  • End-of-service accrual, medical insurance and government fees are not included; use the expat hiring cost calculator for those.

Frequently asked questions

Is there income tax on salaries in Saudi Arabia?

No. Employees pay no income tax on salaries; the main statutory deduction is the Saudi employee’s GOSI share.

What is the net of a 10,000 SAR salary?

With 8,000 basic and 2,000 housing, a Saudi on the old regime pays 975 SAR, leaving 9,025 SAR. A non-Saudi takes home the full 10,000.

Is anything deducted from the transport allowance?

No. GOSI is on basic and housing only, so transport and other allowances are not reduced.
