- Old regime for Saudis: annuities 9% employee and 9% employer, SANED 0.75% each side, occupational hazards 2% employer; that is 9.75% and 11.75%.
- New regime (the Social Insurance Law in force from 3 July 2024) for first-time joiners with no earlier periods: annuities start at 9% each side and rise half a point every 1 July from 2025, to 11% in 2028.
- Non-Saudis: occupational hazards only, 2% paid by the employer.
- Special cases, such as people working abroad or covered by another pension scheme, are not modelled.
