The short answer

The Mudad wage file validator checks a CSV file in your browser, without uploading it anywhere. It checks that every IBAN is SA followed by 22 digits with valid check digits, that each national ID or iqama number has ten digits starting with 1 or 2, and that basic, housing and other allowances add up to the total.

The file is read in your browser and is never sent to any server, ours or anyone else’s.

How it works and what it assumes

Saudi IBAN: SA then 22 digits, with the check digits verified by ISO 13616 (the remainder mod 97 must be 1).
National IDs start with 1 and iqama numbers with 2, both 10 digits.
Basic plus housing plus other allowances must equal the total, to within one halala, with no negative values.
These are checks for the common errors, not every Mudad or bank rule; Mudad can still reject a file for other reasons, such as a wage that differs from the contract documented on Qiwa or from GOSI.
The validator accepts commas or semicolons, quoted fields and UTF-8 files with a BOM. Save an Excel file as CSV UTF-8 first.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wage file uploaded to your servers?

No. The validator runs entirely in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.

Why is an IBAN rejected when it has 24 characters?

Because the two check digits after SA do not match the rest, usually from one mistyped digit. Ask the employee for the bank’s IBAN certificate.

Does RafiqHR export the Mudad file?

Yes. Essentials and above export the Mudad wage file from the approved payroll run. It checks the fields and totals before you upload it.
